Introducing TheKey Concierge Nursing Referral Program
Many medical conditions can be managed effectively in a home environment under the guidance of a physician. And most people are more comfortable recovering in their own home where they can receive personalized care with greater privacy and fewer disruptions throughout the day and night. That’s why TheKey now works with Concierge Nursing Referral Services and Heal At Home to vet and introduce patients to clinicians who provide a broad range of in-home medical and healthcare services to families in many communities in California.

When individuals and families need care services provided by private duty nurses and other clinicians, we’re ready to help. We have an extensive roster of experienced healthcare professionals we refer to the patients who utilize our services, including RNs, LVNs, and other licensed clinicians, specializing in pre-op to post-op care, acute and chronic care, as well as palliative and end-of-life care.

        Our Process
How does our Concierge Nursing work?
        1. First, we conduct an initial phone consultation to understand what your healthcare needs are and to be sure a self-directed care program is a good fit.
        2. A Nurse Care Manager then conducts a comprehensive care consultation to understand your needs and preferences, and also connects with your physician to go over the care plan.
        3. Your dedicated Care Coordination Manager identifies the appropriate type of clinicians based on your specific care needs and preferences and coordinates introductions to the available pool of qualified clinicians for your consideration.
        We’re expert matchmakers.
Our vetted roster of independent RNs, LVNs, and other clinicians allows us to pair our clients with clinicians who can assist with their specific needs. You can be sure that each of the clinicians we refer meets these minimum requirements:
        • Current California State license(s)
        • Vetted for skills and competency
        • Minimum of two years of experience
        • Current individual liability/malpractice insurance

        Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between TheKey home care and TheKey Concierge Nursing?
TheKey Home Care provides a range of “non-medical” in-home care services, such as companionship, help with personal care and other ADLs, and Memory Care at Home. TheKey Home Care helps to manage the care relationship and supervises and trains w-2 caregivers. TheKey Concierge Nursing provides referrals to clinicians who provide medical care at home to support more complex cases or clients who prefer a higher level of care from a licensed nurse or other clinician.

TheKey Concierge Nursing does not provide or supervise the care relationship but rather coordinates introductions to clinicians that the patient may choose to work with to provide services under a self-directed care model. The clinicians referred by TheKey Concierge Nursing are not employees of the company.
        Who provides your Concierge Nursing?
That depends upon the specific needs of the client. We maintain a roster of experienced care professionals, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and other healthcare clinicians who receive opportunities to provide care services to the clients who contract with TheKey Concierge Nursing to provide referral services. TheKey Concierge Nursing at Home does not provide direct care to clients.
How is a nurse registry different from a home health agency?
A nurse registry provides expertise in nursing care at home and refers appropriate independent healthcare clinicians to its clients based on their individual care needs. A nurse registry contracts independent licensed clinicians and builds a roster of vetted, skilled nurses and other healthcare professionals to care for its clients. A nurse registry cannot accept Medicare and Medicaid and does not employ the clinicians and healthcare professionals it refers.

A home health agency provides what is often called “skilled care,” which is more medical in nature than non-clinical home care. With the proper accreditation, a home health agency can accept Medicare and Medicaid. At home health agencies, caregivers and home health aides are employed by the agency and may be trained and supervised by an RN. Care provided by a home health agency must be prescribed and supervised by a physician.
How do you vet the nurses and clinicians you refer?
Our clinicians are vetted through multiple interviews with our team. We verify that each clinician is currently licensed in the state of California and that no negative action has been taken against them. During the course of care, we continue to monitor patient progress and gather feedback on clinician performance to ensure the best possible match and outcome.
