Our Caregivers Hero

Joy at Work

It’s the feeling that fuels our care with love. Our caregivers come from diverse backgrounds but share one purpose—helping older adults live happier, healthier lives at home.
There’s a reason clients trust us.
Actually, there are over 10,000 reasons—one for every experienced, trained caregiver driven by a true passion for care. Our workforce includes professional caregivers with a range of experience, skills, personalities, and credentials including Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs), depending on location. And since all of our caregivers are employees, not contractors, we handle scheduling and performance management so our clients and their loved ones don’t have to.

Screening, Vetting, Caring
Great care starts with great caregivers. That’s why our standards are so high and our screening is so thorough. In addition to assessing hands-on skills, we also look for caregivers with traits like compassion, kindness, and patience. And we strictly adhere to local licensure and certification requirements in every community we serve.

All of our caregivers:
  • Are covered by company insurance
  • Pass a rigorous background check, including driving records and employment authorization verification
  • Are screened for hands-on skills
  • Have a true passion for caring for others
  • Are trained in the Balanced Care Method™
What happens when the best caregivers are trained in best practices?
Clients and their families experience a better quality of life. We train our caregivers to support older adults living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. They also learn how to provide exceptional specialized care for clients with Parkinson’s, heart disease, cancer, recovering from stroke, and living with other age-related conditions. And if your loved one just needs a little quality companionship and help around the house to live independently, our caregivers can do that well too.

Expert Matching
Pairing the right caregiver with each client is equal parts skill, science, and insight. We combine best-practice staffing principles with a rich understanding of our caregivers’ personalities, skills, and strengths. We also train our caregivers on their client’s Care Plan—before they walk in the door—so they’re aware of preferences and can prepare meaningful ways to connect and engage.

  • Compassionate, Dedicated, and Hardworking
“The 24-hour care that your agency provided for our mom was unparalleled. She had three caregivers, each as compassionate, dedicated, and hardworking as the next. Each caregiver worked eight-hour shifts, which enabled them to stay focused and well-rested, and in turn, provide the best care possible.”

    — Client’s Daughter
  • Loving, Professional, and Honest
“We were absolutely thrilled with your agency and caregivers. They provided care to my father who had advanced stage Lewy Body Dementia. The caregivers who provided care for my father were loving, professional, honest, skilled, patient, and kind. I worked as a medical social worker in Geriatrics for years and never came across an agency as good as yours.”

    — Client’s Daughter
  • High-Quality Services
“Your agency has provided quality home care to several of my clients over the years. As a geriatric care manager, I appreciate high-quality services and appropriate follow up to me as the care manager. I would recommend them time and again.”

    — Client’s Son

Recognition, Rewards, Respect
Our caregivers are at the heart of our business, so we frequently recognize them for their efforts and impact. We honor outstanding caregivers with recognition, awards, and opportunities to further their career. Caregivers are also rewarded on a daily basis through competitive wages, ongoing paid training, and bonuses.

Our caregivers care for our clients, so we care for them—and always treat them with respect.
Our Vaccination Policy
Following infection mitigation best practices and safety protocols to protect our clients and their families is a top priority. We actively encourage all employees to get vaccinated and comply with state and local mandates. The majority of our caregivers and support teams are fully vaccinated, and we’re increasing our vaccination and booster rates every day.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can a caregiver help me with?
A caregiver can help with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting), light housekeeping, shopping, transportation, meal preparation, exercise, medication reminders, and companionship. Specialized caregivers are also trained to care for people living with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s, and other age-related conditions, or people transitioning from hospital to home.
What if I don’t like the caregiver you send?
We work diligently to match our clients with the caregiver who’s right for them. We carefully consider personality, specific skills, and other factors to find the perfect fit. While our expert matches often “click” immediately, sometimes it takes a few tries to get the chemistry right. We will continue to work with you to create a successful client-caregiver relationship.
Can I request a caregiver who speaks a specific language?
Trust is built on communication, so we will make sure your caregiver speaks your preferred language fluently.
Can I request a caregiver with specific physical attributes?
We cannot honor requests for physical attributes like race, body type, or hair color. However, if a specific ability or skill is required—such as the strength to transfer a client from wheelchair to bed—we will ensure your caregiver has that capability.
How do you handle caregiver performance problems?
We carefully screen caregiver candidates and hire only the best. However, if a performance issue does arise, your Client Care Manager and Staffing Manager will handle the situation. They’ll gather the relevant information, perform an assessment, and either discipline and retrain the caregiver or match you with a new one.
What qualities and skills do the best caregivers have?
The most successful caregivers share several personality traits in addition to the hands-on skills and experience necessary for their role. Professional caregivers are good communicators, optimistic, empathetic, patient, flexible, and reliable.
