Frequently Asked Questions
We’re the nation’s largest premium home care provider, so we can give you the training and 24/7 support you need to do your best work. We pay our caregivers a competitive wage, offer flexible schedules, provide ongoing paid training, and believe in treating every employee and client with dignity and respect.
While requirements vary by state or region, we hire professional caregivers with a range of experience and credentials. We train our caregivers to support older adults in the activities of daily living, and provide specialized training for caregivers working with clients who have dementia or other age-related conditions.
All of our caregivers are employees. This allows us to provide benefits, handle payroll, withhold taxes, and cover workers compensation insurance.
Owning your own vehicle is not required to be hired as a caregiver. However, since many clients need help with errands, transportation, and social outings, you do need a current driver’s license and maintain insurance to be allowed to drive your client’s car instead of providing your own.
One of the many reasons to join TheKey as a caregiver is our flexible schedules. You can choose to work full- or part-time, or provide around-the-clock live-in care (certain states only).
As the nation’s largest provider of premium in-home care, we have offices across the country. Your pay will depend on location, experience, qualifications, and other factors, but all of our payment structures are competitive and include the option of direct deposit.
